What Would You Call My Investment Strategy?
I am in the process of purchasing 25 to 100 share blocks of select stocks. I then hold until the block increases 25% after trade fees. Once they reach this point, my trade trigger sells. Is this a good strategy? What would you call this strategy?
if you want cheap and safe stock and invest on long term i suggest you should buy C, and BAC because government will never let these big bank fail and eventually it will double or trip your money
Thats pretty much just your basic long strategy with a limit stop. You are “bullish” on that stock and expect the price to rise. One question, you have an exit strategy on the upside, but what is your exit strategy on the down side. I would say the biggest rookie investment moves is to expect a stock rise. If the stock price falls 20%, are you still going to hold? You might want to set a stop at -20%. That way you don’t lose 50%+ of your money.
If you are buying Blue chips, your strategy would be called “investing”…if you are trying to do this with “penny stocks” (ie stocks that trade at less than five bucks a share), then your strategy would be called “doomed”…
Swing Trader. Hopefully you put in a stop loss in case the trade goes against you.
